ABOUT ME

UPDATE, BLOG REVIVAL: This blog has been dormant for YEARS, mostly because I've been busy living life instead of blogging. Some part of it was I couldn't preach what I was sometimes not practicing. However, since April 4 of 2018, I've been eating ketogenically (most days) and it's been the missing link in all this eat-right stuff. So I thought, I should revive my Sweet Enough Already blog. I didn't want to delete the old stuff, in case anyone was interested in where I was coming from. My basic principles haven't changed. I was on the right track. The addition of high fat makes it all possible. So, about 50 pounds and a lot of energy, strength and flexibility later, here we go again. Keto on, blog on!

WHO DO I THINK I AM???

Certainly not a diet expert. I've just been trying to eat right, with varying success, for a long time. I have distilled the principles of what that means, to keep it simple.

1. White Powder is bad for you. (cocaine, heroin, white flour, white sugar) It's not really food.

2. Artificial anything (artificial sweetener, artificial flavor, etc.) is not really food.

3. Anything ending in "-0se" or "-ol " (or the many other forms sugar / sugar substitutes come in) is not really food.

4. Pesticides and other agricultural chemicals, hormones, etc. are not really food.

5. If it has a label, the odds are good it's probably not really food either.

As a practical woman in today's world, I can't say I honestly eat that way all the time. I'm learning. I try. Progress, not perfection.
